MAGNETIC FTSE Trading Report

The strategy all week has been to sell rallies and this has been working on the FTSE well. Today the FTSE will open with cable under pressure. Many investors entered the FTSE when cable was down near 1.20 and with the currency rallying over night upside on the FTSE is going to be hindered. Its unlikely the FTSE will get above 7487 (yesterdays high).

Its FOMC today in America and also there is a small dividend on the FTSE so if 7400 holds then we could see a final rally on the FTSE today up towards 7480.

We remain in a longer term short on the FTSE targeting 7200

A breach of Fridays lows at 7433 should also see a move down to 7410.

If we don't see a big move today the range could be contained between 7460 and 7525

The FTSE squeezed higher yesterday which it can often do leading up to expiry and now we are entering into an area where I see value to sell.

The FTSE failed below 7440 yet again yesterday and supports a move to 7200 over the coming weeks.

The FTSE is entering a neutral zone now between 7300-7440.  Its still short term negative below 7440 and this has acted extremely well for a stop level if you have been selling this market of late.

Whilst below 7440 the FTSE is still potentially negative!

The FTSE still remains negative short term below 7430-7440 and whilst below here we can continue to expect moves back down to the 7300-7200 levels. The FTSE continues to consolidate. I am continuing to sell the FTSE in the 7370-7400 range.. 

The FTSE remains short term negative below 7430 but still long term positive

American markets are shut this afternoon for Independence day so the afternoon session could be quiet on the FTSE.

Today is the first trading day of a new month so we could see new monies invested.
